Many years ago, I made a promise in a dream to a tree. There was a tree where I used to live, and I would drive by it every day. One night in a dream I was standing in front of it, and as I was standing there feeling into this tree, I felt in my heart the words, "Be the voice of the plants."

I really didn't know what that meant. But boy, did it take over my life. I left my career, went to study clinical herbalism, and later made a similar promise to the flowers.

Today I am keeping that promise in a new way.

My online course, Flower Essence Shamanism: Meeting the Four Elemental Flowers, is now open at Global Spiritual Studies.

For years I kept meditation and shamanic journey apart. When I brought them together, quiet meditation first and then the drum, they felt like two sides of the same coin. What emerged is one fluid practice, held by a flower, weaving the threads between guided meditation and shamanic journey.

In the course I guide you through four practice classes, one for each element and its flower: Nicotiana for Earth, Trumpet Vine for Air, Cayenne for Fire and Fuchsia for Water. Each one has a printable card with Sarah Wasey's beautiful art, and there are six handouts to keep.

There is nothing extra to buy and nothing to take. All you need is a comfortable place to sit or lie down, an eye cover if you like one, and a notebook and pen. No special teachings, no special skills. We are all born knowing how to do this.

I will also be joining students for two live sessions: a practice with Buttercup, a fifth flower who is not in the recorded classes, and a Q&A. Dates will be announced in the course community, and both will be recorded and added to the course.
